West Bengal Police invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Constables (Men/Women) in it department. The interested candidates can apply on the prescribed Application Form which could be obtained from office of the Superintendent of Police of all districts and the office of the Commissioner of Police of all Police Commissioner-ate (except Kolkata) from 24.01.2013 to 24.02.2013. Application Form will be issued to the candidates on production of Bank Draft / Postal Order of Rs.150/-. The candidates fulfilling the conditions regarding eligibility in respect of age, physical standards and educational qualification should submit prescribed application form duly filled up in English in their own handwriting along with all the relevant documents as mentioned in the advertisement.  

The brief details are as under :-

• Name of Post : Excise Constable / Lady Excise Constable 
• No. of Posts : 1267 Posts
• Age:- The candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years of age as on 01.01.2013. (Relaxation in age as per Rules)
• Pay Scale of Rs. 5,400-25,200/- (Pay Band-2) with Grade Pay Rs. 2,600/-, plus other admissible allowances.
• Application Fee : Rs. 150/- (In form of Bank Draft Payable at Kolkata or Crossed Postal Order payable at GPO, Kolkata in favour of “West Bengal Police Recruitment Board”) 
• Note : - (SC/ST Candidates are exempted from fee)

How to Apply : Candidates can obtain the Application Form (as mentioned above). The duly filled up Application Form along with two photographs and copies of all certificates are to be placed in an envelope of size 34 cm X 26 cm. The application form should not be folded. The envelope should be properly sealed. On the top of this envelope please write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF EXCISE CONSTABLE / LADY EXCISE CONSTABLE - 2013” and the same may be send to the following address :

Application form may be deposited at the same place from where it was issued or can be sent directly to the Chairman, West Bengal Police Recruitment Board by post. On the left side of the envelope please write “From” followed by your name and full address. Please ensure that the application form reaches West Bengal Police Recruitment Board before the last date of receipt of application i.e. 25.02.2013. The Board will not be responsible for postal delays and applications arriving at the respective issuing offices after the last date will not be entertained.
